OUR REVIEW

A group of traditional houses form the style and distinctive mood of Aigialos Hotel in Fira. Offering you a warm, interesting and comfortable way to stay in Santorini, enjoying the majestic views, the great dining experiences and the wonder of this volcanically derived beauty spot. Aigialos is at a quieter end of the busy main caldera village of Fira.

Whether you are honeymooning or joining friends and relatives, or adding to your collection of wonders-of-the-world travel experiences, there is something great for you here.

Aigialos is at the west end of Fira on the caldera, near one of the island's landmark byzantine churches, close to parking. It requires fewer steps to get to than many of the caldera rim-edge hotels and is close to one very special Santorini restaurant. It is just a few paces to many other eating places and shops.

The classic lobby of the hotel sets the mood, so that you feel a special stay has begun - the various houses cling together like a micro-village and offer antique-filled living spaces with balcony or terrace and views.

The smartly arch-covered semi-outdoor swimming pool and surrounding garden terrace feels like a hidden retreat, where snacks and meals can be enjoyed with a sense of calm. There are shared or private terraces depending on which category of house you choose.

THE HOUSES

Standard/Senior houses mostly have a shared terrace, Superior & Exclusive houses have private terrace or balcony. All houses have a view along the caldera, to the volcano & the sea - some more direct or bigger views than others. All bathrooms "with bathtub" have shower in the bathtub also!

Skiron II: 85 m², for up to 4 people. 1 double bedroom (king-size bed), bathroom with jacuzzi bathtub, dining & sitting area with 2 sofa-beds, fireplace, shared terrace.

Senior Houses:

Levantes: 53 m², for up to 4 people. 1 double bedroom (two mattresses together form a larger double bed), 1 single bedroom, bathroom with shower, sitting area with sofa-bed, shared veranda.
Pounentes: 51 m², for up to 3 people. Two-storey house. "Penthouse" with single bedroom, 1 double bedroom (king-size bed), bathroom with bathtub, sitting area, shared garden.
Livas: 62 m², for up to 4 people. 1 double bedroom (two mattresses together form a larger double bed), 2 bathrooms with bathtub, dining & sitting area with 2 sofa-beds, shared garden.
Ostria: 39 m², for up to 3 people. 1 double bedroom (two mattresses together form a larger double bed), bathroom with bathtub, sitting area with sofa-bed, shared terrace.
Notos: 30 m², for up to 2 people. 1 double bedroom (king-size bed), bathroom with bathtub, private balcony.

Superior Houses:

Exclusive-Honeymoon Houses:

Zefyros: 43 m², for up to 3 people. 1 double bedroom (king-size bed), bathroom with shower, dining & sitting area with sofa-bed, private balcony & veranda.
Maistros: 55 m², for up to 3 people. 1 double bedroom (king-size bed), bathroom with bathtub, dressing area, dining & sitting area with sofa-bed, private balcony & veranda.
Apiliotis: 55 m², for up to 4 people. 1 double bedroom (two mattresses together form a larger double bed), 1 bathroom with bathtub, dining & sitting area with 2 sofa-beds, private balcony around the house.
Tramountana: 45 m², for up to 3 people. 1 double bedroom (king-size bed), bathroom with shower, sitting area with sofa-bed, private balcony surrounding the house.

Voreas House :

Voreas: 72 m², for up to 4 people. 2 double bedrooms (1 with king-size bed and 1 with twin beds), 2 bathrooms with bathtub, dining & sitting area, private veranda.

Rates are per house, for 2 people (except "Voreas" where the price is for 2-4 people), per night and include American breakfast (served in the courtyard or your house), air conditioning (cooling/heating) and all taxes.
Extra bed/person: 120 euros in Standard/Senior/Superior houses, 140 euros in Exclusive houses (no charge in Voreas house).
Children: up to 3 years, no charge. 3-10 years old, 50% of extra bed rate. 10+ years old, 100% of extra bed rate.
NOTE: For safety reasons, children under 10 years old can stay only in houses: "Livas", "Ostria" (senior) and "Apiliotis" (exclusive).

MINIMUM STAY: 3-5 nights, depending on season.
