OUR REVIEW

The mountain village hotel. Having climbed the mountain roads (by car we trust!) Granitis Hotel is a welcoming sight. The stone building is simple in design but conceals a warm and spacious lounge and bar, dining area (in season and holidays) with views of the seasonally-changing trees and some distant peaks. A little over half an hour drive from the ski area at Falakro. A wonderful, rural, twisting and scenic drive from Serres (you should make this journey as an outing in its own right!). Drama is an almost equally rewarding trip and the town has a local, regional feel worth sampling.
This is not a luxurious hotel, but comfortable and tasteful, neatly furnished and in a location that sets it apart.
Though not only a ski lodge - you might well ski using this as your base camp...

Suites have 2 connecting (separate) double rooms. Bathroom with bathtub.
Views to the village, hills or mountain.

Cafe/bar area (where breakfast is also served) with floor-to-ceiling windows - meals might be served at weekends/busy periods. Lounge with fireplace. Wine selection.
Parking: outside the hotel.

Drama: 30 km
Falakro ski centre: 18 km (30-40 minutes)
Renting a car is highly recommended, other means of transport are limited and infrequent.

Rates are per room, per night and include breakfast, heating and all taxes.
For children up to 2 years old, sharing their parents room, a baby cot is provided free of charge.
Extra person/bed: 20 euros in low season, 30 euros in high season.

MINIMUM STAY: 2-4 nights, depending on season/day of the week.

Greek holiday dates: Christmas (19-30 Dec), New Year (31 Dec-3 Jan), Epiphany (3-7 Jan), Ash Monday (7-10 March), Greek Easter (20-28 April), Greek Labour Day (1 May), Whit Monday (13-16 June), around 15th August (Virgin's Assumption), National holidays (24-27 March, 27-30 Oct).
