Right in the centre of Nafplios old characterful
streets is a puzzling and unique find, Ilion Hotel. Its rooms are painted in
dazzling colours, with mythology themes hand-painted on bed-heads and
ceilings, decorated with theatrical flair and real antiques. A
selection of rooms artistically put together by the hotel lady owner
(a passionate antique lover), that matches the history of the 300-year
old building.
There are only 10 suites .you should seize one for yourself to
enjoy your stay in Nafplion. A couple of suites ("Love & Soul",
"Sun") have nice sea views across red-tiled
roofs, others have a view to the town or look onto the courtyard. All have spacious bathrooms
with jacuzzi tub or shower.
Stepping out of this theatrical stage-set onto the town's streets is a
gentle immersion in contemporary times seasoned with the ever-present
history which is Nafplio's stock in trade. The town preserves a lot
of its historic character, buildings and squares, making it a "must visit" in the Peloponnese.
Walk up to the Akronafplia fortress in minutes, to
the Palamidi castle on the adjoining hill or across a few
cobblestone streets to the waters edge and the view of the Bourtzi
fortress, sitting out at sea like a historic hide-out for an
antiquarian Dr. No in a Bond movie. Read more about Nafplion

I had a wonderful time in Greece. I appreciate your service in helping me book the Ilion Hotel in Nafplion. The hotel is such an unique, fun and lovely place. Their staff are very friendly too. And one more thing making my trip interesting, I happened to meet the Ilion hotel owner while I was eating in a tarvena down on the street. :-)
I am sure that I will be back to Greece in the future, hopefully soon.

We stayed at the Hotel Ilion in Napflion in June 2008. It was a lovely place with just beautiful friendly staff and a wonderful location in the old town. We really couldn't have asked for anything more. Next time we travel to Greece we'll be sure to look you up!

The" Ilion Hotel" in Nafplion is unusual with its colourful and eccentric decor. We were very satisfied with this hotel: the rooms were clean, the staff were polite and they were always ready to help (the recommendation of the restaurant in the evening was very good), breakfast in the courtyard was romantic.

Greece was amazing, we loved our hotel in Athens. Our hotel in Nafplion,
the Ilion, was the best hotel of our entire european trip. Greece was my
favorite part of our european vacation. Nightlife, sightseeing, food,
everything was great!
