A stone built structure - clean simple lines,
housing 28 rooms and one special suite. This is an efficient version
of the traditional stone-built small hotel at a reasonable price.
Especially suitable for a group of friends or family.
Rooms and suites have air conditioning and good
central heating with proper radiators, though not in the bathroom
(which draws its heat from the room with door left ajar).
There are 3 family rooms for up to 2 adults and 2
children (also very suitable for those who want extra space, even if
only 2 people).
There is 1 suite with a separate bedroom and
bed/living area (one double bedroom,
connecting with another space where, in the case of a family, the children would sleep).
There is access to the bathroom from both areas, avoiding a "through
the bedroom" trip for someone sleeping in the living area.
This suite comes with a very large balcony.
The pool has a separate shallow area for children.
The pool is normally filled before Easter and emptied at the end of
October, depending on the weather.
The ground floor dining room area is where you can enjoy breakfast.
The restaurant- is only open for groups when requested in advance. But
restaurants and tavernas are within a 2 minute walk.
Areopoli is a centre of this region and has a calm
nature, pleasant town square and several local style restaurants.
The village is small and friendly with many older (usually stone)
buildings and houses. A unique square with the type of shops that have
disappeared from most village and town centres adds to the character
of this historic area.
As a starting point or home base for exploring Mani -
whether to visit the beach at Limani or explore the hundreds of
ancient fortresses and tower in the area, taking in the Diros cave by
sea, the Taygetos mountains or Dekoulou monastery. Read more about Mani and Areopoli
Double and triple rooms, 3 family rooms & 1 suite. Balconies with view
to sea in the distance, or to the mountains.
Twin beds (put together if required). Bathroom with shower.
Air conditioning, central heating.
Telephone, TV, small fridge.
Breakfast room, lounge with fireplace & TV.

SuperbGreece.com guest experiences of Kastro Maini[Click here to SHOW/HIDE]
The hotel itself was very comfortable, perfect for us who just need a
peaceful, well-kept and clean place to spend the night and a generous
breakfast, with moderate price.
One thing could be better: believe us, the possibility to drink a "caffe
espresso" (italian way) instead of a "frape" would greatly increase the
attraction of this place for a lot of italian clients.

We were happy to return to SuperbGreece for this year's arrangements because
we knew from last year that the hotels you have on your books are excellent
and just the sort of friendly and slightly different sort of places that we
like to stay in.
This year did not disappoint.
The Castro Maini was very friendly and
comfortable. We usually had the swimming pool to ourselves and the air
conditioning worked fine.

We used it as a base to visit Mystras and
Monemvassia and it was ideal for that. Our exploration was somewhat
curtailed by the heat but we got up early and retired to a taverna by
lunchtime. Their breakfasts were a little disappointing.

Our stay at the KASTRO MAINI HOTEL in AEROPOLI was fine.
very nice hotel, great breakfast ( usefull with children ), beautiful pool
and nice team for the room services.
it was interesting to discover this little town, the area, and the
landscapes, very different from everywhere else in Pelopponesis. I will of course recommend the hotel and all the MANI area.
