OUR REVIEW
For a town hotel with character in a great location
(close to the sea but central) Luxembourg Hotel is comfortable, charismatic
and reasonably priced. A family run good quality hotel with spacious
rooms and suites.
You are just 50 metres from the famous esplanade of Thessaloniki's
seafront and 500 metres from the harbour and its restaurants,
galleries and other cultural venues, events and focal points of this
city.
Popular with visitors to Thessaloniki's International
film festival (held in November).
Good space in rooms.
The exterior of Luxembourg hotel has a part art deco, part 60's look and
feel. The cozy and smart entrance area
leads onto the breakfast room and cafe.
Rooms and suites are all somewhat contrarily tiled with
bright green and blue Italianate tiles supplemented by small area
rugs. This does give a slightly more villa-like sparkle and lift
to your middle of the action, central location. Furniture is neat and tasteful and bathrooms are smooth and
shiny though we must admit the use of rather unsightly energy-saving lights
is a little lacklustre.

Rooms overlook the road below or side street. Some have small
balconies from where you can see the sea at the end of the road.

Our trip was wonderful. For sure one of the highlights was our stay in Thessaloniki at the Luxembourg. The beauty of staying there was everything was within walking distance: the port, White Tower, museums, shopping district and restaurants/cafes. Great central location. Copyright CreteTravel.com - protected The hotel was quite comfortable, a bit crowded for three in the room, especially vying for bathroom time and changing etc but suited its purpose. Staff very friendly & helpful. Would definately contact you for bookings in the future.
