OUR REVIEW

At the fine beginning of Fira village, on the caldera, Porto Fira Suites are bright and breezy, good quality - all at a more modest price than most, good value. Yet the hotel would be a close competitor with some of Santorini's pricier offerings. It is handsome.

To be in Fira puts you front stage and centre for view, shops, restaurants, cafes, bars and all services. Fira is the closest to a cosmopolitan centre of the island and where most things "get done".

The suites offer all comforts, terraces and the magnificent views of the volcano and then, the concentrated ingredients of Fira village, the cascading houses and hotels clinging gingerly to the side of the caldera.

Swimming pool included in this gleaming enclave that is so convenient - there where it should be for shops and restaurants, yet just apart enough to feel like a calm haven from a place that can become somewhat busy and even crowded. There is also a cafe. This is a subtle and pleasing gem of a place to stay.

Everywhere well known has not only those visitors who stay overnight or several days, but the day-visitors, some of whom arrive by the brace from cruise ships for their quick 3 hour trot around the caldera....we think you, know better! Stay and rest a while.

Deluxe suite: For 1-4 people, open-plan layout, bedroom with a king-size bed, sitting area with two single (or one double) beds, grand terrace and outdoor lounge with caldera & volcano views.
