The Acropolis is Among the World’s Best-value Tourist Attractions for 2020

The Acropolis in Athens is included on the list of the World’s Top 25 Best-value Tourist Attractions released recently by Club Med, the international travel group operating premium all-inclusive resorts around the globe.

The Club Med study ranks 66 of some of the world’s most visited tourist attractions, comparing their entry fees and social media sentiment and allocating each destination a score out of 10.

Acropolis Museum Celebrates 10 Years and 14.5 Million Visitors

The award-winning Acropolis Museum in Athens is organizing a number of events for all as part of the celebrations for its 10th anniversary on June 20.

Since its grand opening in 2009, the museum has received 14.5 million visitors from Greece and abroad.

Acropolis Monuments Enter New Phase of Restoration

Monuments at the Acropolis in Athens will undergo a new series of restoration works set to create additional jobs.

Budgeted at 5 million euros, the “Restoration and Conservation of the Acropolis Monuments” is being funded by the NSRF’s “Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship and Innovation 2014-2020” program and will include the recruitment of additional staff which will work together with the Acropolis Restoration Service (YSMA).
